Moose Hide Campaign
Half of all women in Canada have experienced violence since age 16. The rates are even higher for Indigenous women. The Moose Hide Campaign is a nationwide, Indigenous-led movement to end gender-based and domestic violence, while supporting healing, reconciliation and cultural understanding.
Grounded in Indigenous teachings, the campaign’s symbol—the moose hide pin—represents a personal commitment to honour, respect and protect women and children. Over three million pins have been shared to spark dialogue and action across Canada.
Ontario Tech was recognized as a Moose Hide Campaign Ambassador Campus in 2022 for our commitment to awareness, education and creating safer, more inclusive spaces.Wear a Moose Hide pin
