Ambassador Program

What is the Ambassador program?

The Ambassador Program is a leadership development program in which students attend training to develop soft and leadership skills, including an array of themes within the domains of communication, community, reflection, leadership, equity and cultural safety.

Following ongoing training opportunities, students have the chance to get involved on campus in leadership positions.

Why become an Ambassador?

  • Add a valuable experience to your Student Experience Record.
  • Gain practical leadership skills and experience to add to your resumé.
  • Meet students with similar interests and build interpersonal relationships.
  • Participate in experiential learning opportunities and get involved on campus.

Program breakdown

The Ambassador Program consists of four levels. Only one level can be completed each year.

Level 1 consists of:

  • AODA training
  • Group training session (approximately two hours)
  • Mental health 101 training
  • Online module completion (approximately two hours)
Completing Level 1 will get you 15 points. Points are collected after completing the online modules and group training session by attending events, volunteering and completing ongoing training.

Please note: To be considered an Active Ambassador, only Level 1 is required.
