Mental Health Services

We provide support for students experiencing personal, physical or emotional difficulties. Our Stepped Care model offers a range of short-term counselling and therapy services, as well as appropriate referrals to the community. We also offer self-help resources, single session supports, distress support, group therapy, peer support and workshops.

Visit our Mental Health Policy to learn more about the programs, policies, services and supports available at the University in respect of student mental health.

If you would like some help navigating your choices, book an intake session with our Mental Health and Wellness Facilitators.

If you are in distress and would like information about what resources you can access, review the distress flowchart to help find the support that will be most helpful for your situation.

Please note that Student Mental Health Services (SMHS) has transitioned to Telus Health Connect for virtual appointments and student communications. All students who receive services from SMHS will need to set up a Telus Health Connect account.

If you have any questions, contact studentlifeline@ontariotechu.ca.
