Get Involved
The start of each new academic year brings with it new students who are just learning about life at university and our campus community. As faculty and staff members, we are here to help provide guidance and answers to their questions.
Learn more about these opportunities below. If you have any questions or concerns please contact engagement@ontariotechu.ca.

Orientation | August 29 to September 1
Orientation weekend consists of Faculty Orientation, supports and services presentations, sense of belonging activities, networking opportunities, and more!
This kick-off to the academic year is also an opportunity for new, incoming students to connect with their peers and talk to upper year students about their university experience so far.
We'd love it if you would consider being part of this important step in their journey toward building their own Ontario Tech community! We will need volunteers for Friday, August 29, Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31—you'll be asked to indicate your availability on our registration form. As a faculty or staff volunteer, you may be asked to support way/information finding, activities, and/or general event logistics.

AskMe information booths | September 2 to 5
Running Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, September 5, AskMe information booths will be stationed across our north and downtown campus locations to welcome new and returning students to campus. Volunteer support is needed to answer student questions and help them navigate our campus locations. As a faculty or staff member, this is a great opportunity to directly connect with students and promote programs, services, and research opportunities.
