Ontario Tech recognizes its diverse student population and is committed to celebrating and bringing awareness to the multitude of commemorative days that happen in Canada over the year.

- Pride Month: We recognize and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community's diversity and achievements, promote equal rights and opportunities, and raise awareness about the ongoing challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals. The month of June is marked by various events, including parades, rallies, and cultural activities, that aim to foster inclusivity, acceptance, and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
- National Indigenous History Month: We recognize and honor the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. The month also serves as an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of colonialism and ongoing struggles for justice and reconciliation.
- June 21: National Indigenous Peoples Day; we mark the diverse cultures, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. The day also serves as an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing legacy of colonization and the journey toward reconciliation.
