Mental Health Counsellors: Mental health counsellors support students who have experienced sexual violence by providing a safe and confidential space to engage in counselling. To book an appointment, contact 905.721.3392 or studentlifeline@ontariotechu.ca
Human Rights Office: The university has a Gender-Based Violence Specialist located in the Human Rights Office who can meet with you confidentially to ensure you are informed of your rights. For more information, book a consultation meeting.

If you have experienced sexual violence, Student Mental Health Services provide a safe and confidential space to students.
The Mental Health Counselling team offers the following:
- Individual counselling and psychotherapy for students who have experienced historical or recent experience of sexual violence,
- Options for wellness initiatives, support groups, and mental health consultations,
- Referrals to appropriate support from external community services,
- Coordination of other mental health and accommodations with the student's consent.

Human Rights Office
If you are a student who has experienced sexual violence, the Human Rights Office can assist you. All students who have experienced sexual violence are encouraged to disclose to the Human Rights Office to receive information about available resources and supports.
The Human Rights Office offers the following:
- Confidential, non-judgmental, non-directional and student-led services and support to students of all genders who have been impacted by sexual violence,
- Co-ordination and navigation of university supports and services,
- Assistance with immediate measures to limit further harm, such as assessing housing and safety needs, adjustments to class schedules, etc,
- Information about off-campus services,
- Assistance with reporting (if requested).
